Rigid vs Baja vs others

I'm curious as to what you all suggest.
I'm looking into getting lights for the fog light cutouts on the factory bumper, and the middle cutout on the bumper. I know two cube style lights can fit in each fog light area, and I believe a 20" curved can fit in that middle spot.
I like the look of the midnight edition Rigids, but the discount that Baja gives is appealing as well. Are there any other brands worth looking at? This is my first time buying auxiliary lighting, so the cost is tough to swallow

I have the Rigid driving and fog light cubes and have been very happy with them so far. Fyi you can add one more light for a total of 3 cubes on each side. You can't go wrong with either Baja or Rigid both are way superior to the cheap Chinese stuff out there.

Hey J, for your Gen 1, you can go with either a Baja Designs Squadron pack or a Rigid D-Series PRO pack to fit two lights per side.

You can also fit a 20" straight bar in the lower bumper opening. A 20" RDS bar will fit as well, but it won't work with the Rigid mount since the pins on the end of the RDS are different than the E-Series lights.

Yeah... buy once, cry once.

I added some B/D lights to my Rap at significant cost, but made easier by supporting vendors here. I made my own mount, and have 3x Baja squadrons in the bumper openings left and right, the outer to are squadron sports, but even they are quite good at lighting up the dark. I’ve got wide cornering lenses on them and have them aimed a little low to keep from blinding traffic. Then I run 2 squadron pros; one combo, one spot. They light up quite a long way.

I also have some cheap amazon lights alleged to be 7500 lumens x 2. They work great up close, but diffuse at distance - as I expected.

If you can afford the quality lights, get them. They are worth it. FRF supporting vendors are great here with sales and support. I’d suggest hanging on for the Black Friday deals if I were you.

I also want a Rigid light bar, but I bought from Auxbeam last time because I don't have enough budget...Actually, the one I bought from Auxbeam is not bad and it was a nice price. Still working well now(from Sept last year). But I'm still thinking about a 32" Rigid one lol...But it's really expensive...Anyone bought a 32" straight one from Rigid? Buy a Rigid or one more Auxbeam?....

If you plan on off roading at night, buy the BD or Rigid. I personally like BD better.

IF not offroading at night, then hey if one of these cheap lights fail, then you replace it. They are disposable cheap stuff.

I am a fan of Rigid’s products. I owned a variety of their lights. I enjoy them very much.

I have seen BD lights on a friends truck and they are also great. I just think I am more of a Rigid Industries fan. I find myself comparing everything to Rigid. Never to any other company. It’s always “that’s a cool light, but, how does it compare to Rigid?”

One thing I like about BD is their customer service. BD is very active on this forum and you can speak directly to the company. Which is not common with other companies. Something I find impressive.

At the end of the day, however, I like Rigid lights because I have never had the privilege of affording BD. Do a mix of “driving” and “flood” in your fog lights.

On a side note, totally separate, those BD LP9’s are looking epic.

How often do you plan to use the lights? Off road racing, every weekend off road wheeling and at night? Back roads on your way home from work?
Cheap amazon stuff will get the job done for low to moderate usage. And you’ll have a TON of money left over for other stuff. I’ve had amazon lights on my Jeep, Polaris ranger and atvs for years without one issue and they are under $100.
I’m a “flashlight dork” have a bunch of high priced flashlights. 99% of the time I use a cheap fenix light. And has never failed. Same applies with vehicle lighting. If your racing in king of the hammers or the baja1000 yes. Absolutely, your life can depend on being able to see.
In most states, using the light bars on public roads is illegal. Anything above the headlights in Michigan is actually required to be covered while on public roads. Yes, it’s a actual law. So for the 5 min in a normal day that you could possibly use a $800-$1000 light bar..... if that’s worth it to you. Go head. To me that’s an absurd amount of money that could be spent on things that actually make the day to day use of the vehicle more enjoyable. Having the most expensive lights on your truck doesn’t get you into heaven any faster.
And if the amazon light goes out within a normal amount of time, 75% of the time they will ship you another for free. Even if they don’t, you can replace it 6-7x and still be less than a high priced name brand model. And then how long will you own the vehicle??

I understand. I could probably get away with a less expensive option. Mainly need the fogs for driving in the rain and snow. No real need for the center mount light. But I like the idea
