So I just finished installing my SVT side marker led logos from Recon and I wanted to point a few things out about my experiences so far.
I am happy with the build quality of their products but the instructions need a lot of work.
When I got my 20" bar and mounting kit, there were no instructions included at all. I used the guide on this forum for 100% of that install and it was spot on I might add.
For the D2's, there was a really ****** photocopy style sheet. It was faint and difficult to make out and looked as if it was a third generation copy. You couldn't make any details out in the images. On top of that, the access panel for the uplifter switch wires on the right side if the dash is shown but not actually addressed as to where it is. Lastly, it indicated the incorrect colour of wire to hook onto. I don't know if US models differ from Canadian models or if the codes changed between years or what but it caused confusion regardless. Again, thanks to you guys on this forum for helping me out.
As for the SVT lights, there were no hard copy instructions included but they were posted on Recon's website.
Again, the ones I saw indicated that the factory vents were to be removed via heat gun. There was no adhesive evident at all on my units. Just clipped in.
Just my observations. Like I said, I like the build quality but I think the documentation needs work, especially for high end stuff that I don't consider 'cheap'.
