I do not think that is that case with this one... the antenna is I believe billet, that is one solid part... there is no coil.

FM is, on the scale of things, very easy to receive...

The antenna does very well at AM reception as well.

And let me remind XJRguy that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery :mrgreen:

AM reception should not scale as well as FM... it will be fine when you are relatively close to the tower but it will drop off more rapidly... not that this matters unless you are taking a road trip... if the AM transmission antenna is within about 100 miles (that is a WAG) you should still be fine...

Froggy is a little brusque Kellen... but he is a fine Frog in spite of it! I got mine in short order, and I really liked the 17 dollar price too. Thanks for extending that offer to our forum. Now - if I just had a Raptor <G>... I may put it on my old XLT until my Raptor arrives.
