Last month I installed this factory OEM backup camera on my truck, and now its fogged up after I washed/waxed my truck this afternoon... Does anyone know of a quick fix for this without replacing the entire camera?

I take a rag with some rain x and wipe the lens. It doesn't last very long though. The backup camera isn't very effective in adverse weather.

Yea it happens to mine when I spray it off. It'll fog up real bad sometimes cause the humidity down south here sucks ass! I don't think there's really a fix for it lol

Hmm. I've never checked to see if it was inside or out. I'd keep getting it replaced. Maybe they'll eventually get the hint and ford will do something about it.

Damn, yeah I used a heat gun to fix it.. (and yes its on the inside) Talked to the guys at Camera-Source and they've already sent me a replacement.

re: Foggy Backup Camera

Mine gets pretty foggy as well, on the inside of the lens. Maybe a disassemble, clean, and reseal.

Hair dryer set on warm...same effect as hot headlights. My camera does it a little but my headlights are still good.
