Hey now there's a thought! Something like this?

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001R2O75O/?tag=fordraptorforum-20

Edit: Looks like those require a "resistor kit" to function correctly as turn signals though. Anyone got a source for a drop in bulb that already is set up for a turn signal application?

Standard mechanical relay flashers relied on the electrical load provided by the bulbs to regulate the rate of flash... LED's pull so few amps that they won't work properly with that type of flasher relay. But there are flasher relays that are not so sensitive to bulb load... our new trucks should probably have the type of flasher that will work with LED's?

Cool Ideas, but I gotta know where you got the micro-blackhole for the bumper. Now THATs a cool mod! :wow:

check out the sylvania high performance signal bulbs. they have an iridescent look to them when they're off, a bluish-orangish hue, but look clear/reflective in the housing and they blend into factory chrome reflector housings extremely well when off, then when they're on or blinking they light up as amber/orange as your stock bulbs.

These attached pics show them in my HD truck in clear corners, and the one pic shows them on. It's during the daytime so doesn't look as bright in the photo, but they're every bit as orange/amber as the stock egg yolks. And they're perfectly legal. ANd IMO clear blinkers just don't look right, blinkers should be orange, so these give you the clear look, with orange light.

These aren't the right #, but this is what the package looks like.

Amazon.com: Sylvania 1157A ST BP SilverStar 27-Watt High Performance Signal Light: Automotive

yeah it's more than $2, but come on, it's a $50k truck, I'd gladly spend $20 on corner lights to get a clean clear look when off to match the headlight housings, then a nice solid amber/orange look to match the LED's when on.

wow I have no idea how this thread popped up. I responded to the post not even realizing how old it was, but it was in the "New Posts" section as if somebody else had brought it TTT. I didn't search anything up. That's really odd lol.

Are the flash-backs legal? they light up white but flash orange. I love the way they look lit up white but want to remain legal.
