I’ve googled and looked through this site and haven’t found any information on swapping to an R hood vent. I’ve seen carbon overlays, and carbon replacements from Ford that swap out to the same style vent to carbon, but not “standard” size vent to “R” size vent. I found the part number for the “R” vent and can order it on line, but a ford body shop told me the R hood has a different part number than an 801 or 802 hood, and thought I may need buy an “R” hood as well before I could use an R vent. Anyone have information on putting an R vent on an 801 or 802 hood? I’d rather not spend the $1000+ on a part not knowing if it will work.
Thanks for any guidance!

@Waterfowler41 has a youtube video on installing an aftermarket "R" style carbon fiber hood vent, as part of his video on installing a carbon fiber hood:

I saw this, but since it was an aftermarket scoop going on their aftermarket hood, wasn’t sure if it would apply to a stock hood. After watching the full video and looking at the link, it certainly implies it should work on a “raptor” hood, not just their version or an R. Good feedback, thanks!

I’m almost positive the hood vents are interchangeable. There’s also this one, the handful of reviews I saw about this were positive:
Waterfowlsr41, based on your videos and work, I’d think you have a pretty good feeling for these things. I haven’t seen the one from MP concepts, I’ll check it out. I like the idea of trying one of these versions to see if it will fit before spending the $1000-$1500 for a factory scoop.
Thanks for your help!
