Replace Shifter with Dial?

I agree with a few other guys saying they love their Gen2 CF shifter. I think it feels perfect.

Anything could be better than the 2021 shifter. It feels cheap and clunky. I am seriously concerned there will be problems with them down the road.

I just replaced one today on a 21 lariat f150 for fail to stow under a tsb. Shifter also stuck in drive sometimes and u had to jiggle it to go up to park. Maybe to much use or misused but just an fyi.

NO WAY FOR PUSH BUTTONS!!! My wife has a 2020 Nautilus and it drives me nuts!!! The buttons are high up on the console supposedly so you don't have to look way down. But, you still have to take your focus off the road/trail back inside to find them. Then you have to reach way out with an unsupported arm to push them. Bouncing around off road? BAD IDEA!!! Even though it is a Lincoln feature I think it is a BAD idea even on a luxury street machine. Not that I have strong feelings on that one. Ha!

Buttons or dial would keep the shifter out of the way for better road head access.... just sayin

Here is a pic of the shifter I replaced in a 21 f150 lariat. Fyi these shifters are heavyyyyy like felt almost 7lbs.(prolly more like 3) but they are beefy in heavyness. Also the bolt I included a pic of is the 6 console to floor bolts, you gotta slide console back 1-2 inches to get top bezel around shifter to lift up and clear the HVAC section. The whole shifter took 15-25 mins to so. Be careful on the console bolts my 1/4 impact driver would not even take them out due to the locktite on the, I had to bust out the 3/8impact. I have to say Ford must be wanting to use a whole bottle of locktite on each bolt. Sheesh.
