Removing adhered pollen

I've got pollen adhered to my running boards. I think it's from getting my windshield tinted and some sort if adhesive spray they use got in the boards and pollen got stuck to it. I don't know how to get it off.

I have tried magic eraser sponge and soap and water. With won't run off or scratch off either. Would greatly appreciate any help removing this stuff.

I would try some goo gone if it's from adhesive.

Not sure if it is adhesive or what. It doesn't feel sticky to the touch. I'll give that a try though

It does seem odd that the pollen is stuck, but it does not feel sticky, unless the pollen got on there when it was still wet.

If the Goo Gone does not help, I would try some Tire & Rubber Cleaner and scrub really well with a small, stiff-bristled brush (like a dish brush).

Try Purple power engine degreaser. I know Adams Polishes would not not condone such a measure. lol
Just make sure do not get it on door paint, and if you do just wash it off immediately. Let sit for 15 sec and rinse off. I believe it would take it off with out any drama.... I used purple power to get rid of mud stains and to loosen and remove dirt when I was cleaning truck after an off road trip last year. It worked its magic....I went through 4 gallons of it. lol

Snapped a couple more pics after work. This is how they look dry. I seriously thought it would have washed off after some heavy rain which we had it real heavy this week. I'll look into the degreaser if that don't work. Thanks!

In those photos, it doesn't look like adhesive. Looks stained, almost like rust stains. I would try wheel cleaner with a soft brush. Or mineral spirits, again with a soft brush. Might even clean up with just soap and water too. When your done spray with in & out spray or undercarriage spray and they'll look nice and black again.

I used Trim Shine by Stoner on my running boards and it makes them look brand new without making them slippery.
