Remote Start w/ key fob won’t work

What about batteries in the fob ? IIRC they’re cr 2025 x2 When they’re old but not dead you’ll get sub optimal results.

Have you had any recent work done?
When I had the recall done for the tailgate opening, the stealership forgot to connect a harness in the back, same symptoms - no remote start by fob or ford pass.

This may not be applicable, but mine doesn't work if my truck is unlocked. If I lock it first, then try again, remote start functions 100% of the time,
