Holy shit I wouldn't use Uship to transport a shitbox. I could tell some stories about that low bid crap. Reliable ain't cheap, but I use them a fair amount and they are one of the best

I wouldn't do it... that's why I'm driving the 1700 miles myself. If the high end enclosed trucks were able to do it I would but the raptor is to wide so I stay away from the rest. Good luck man.

The companies that bring the trucks to the dealers are the same ones that would ship it to you. There's nothing wrong with them and they do it all the time. I'm having mine shipped. Well worth it to not have to fly and drive home. Cheaper too

Except damages are covered by ford if something happens from them... and my ticket is 170 and gas will be 300 max. And my truck will be broken in. 470 sounds cheaper than 2 plus grand I could be wrong though I'm bad at math [emoji12]. As we all say in all the threads. To each their own.

For sure they would have insurance...as well your own personal insurance should cover any damage as well.
A friend told me yesterday there is a real good company out of Tuscon that ships cars for reasonable prices. We were discussing selling my car to customers back east. I'll get the name for you when I hear back from him.

Im good man my dad lives 30 miles from the dealer so it gives me an excuse to spend a couple days with him before hitting the open road. Appreciate it though! If something changes I'll pm you for that info.

Awesome...sounds like a great reason to visit family. Enjoy the drive home in your new Raptor.

I did hear back if anyone needs the info, the company in Tucson is named Automatic Auto Carriers.

I am still interested if a carrier, so if you can pass me that info, I'd appreciate it.

The real deal with car shipping is that almost all of the ppl you would call are brokers. Nothing wrong with them if they run a clean shop and have a list of good carriers they deal with, however, the entire market is driven by an auction-style system where brokers would post their shipments on a Load Board with the info on what would be transported and the to and from location. The carriers would pick the ones that suit them the best--the fewest drops, schedule, and max pay. So long as the carriers have insurance, license, etc and willing to take the shipment at the advertised price, it would be assigned to them.

This is different than Ford convey to dealerships as those shipments are typically contracted, and since its a big contract, they pay more attention and will do more to make sure it is handled properly.

The Load Board approach gets you the cheapest rates, but the level of service is unknown.

I rather deal with a carrier directly so I know who will be transporting my vehicle.

There are premium services out there, and they only transport high end cars. Intercity and Horseless Carriage both handle classic and high end cars in enclosed trailers, but they won't transport a raptor because it won't fit in their trailers.

Anyway, my last transport about 10 years ago was great. Enclosed trailer, pickup and delivery was on time, and the vehicle left and arrived in exactly the same condition, and driver was very professional. It was one of those owner-operator things, he only transported cars and had long standing relationships with a network of people who used his service.

Really wish I had the time to drive it home...

Your dealer is the best place to get the info from. They should have a list of people they use that they know and trust
