Rear suspension upgrade for chase rack recommendations.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this. If not I apologize.

I'm looking to invest in a delta chase rack from saints offroad. I will run 2 spares, 2 fuel tanks, a jack, jack board, shovel, axe, Co2 tank, and a pelican case with all my recovery gear.

I'm wondering what upgrades I need for the rear end to carry the extra weight. Any advice is appreciated as I am a FNG when it comes to off-roading.

upgraded leafs would all you really would need.

I highly suggest you load it all up and run on stock and see how it performs, then look into leaf springs if it doesnt perform the way you want.

If you are needing support because of the weight I would recommend the progressive leaf springs that Jimmy (WSI) sells. He has SD springs, along with HD springs that support even more weight.

As others have mentioned, you're going to want to upgrade your leaf springs. Definitely go with a HD version. I run Deavers +3 (their HD version) and the truck sits nice and level when loaded up.

I'm guess anywhere from 500-600lbs

Hmm this is similar to what I'll be carrying. I was thinking of going RPG stage 3 but I have seen a lot of posts about how the nationals tend to squat after awhile.

Are deaver +3 less likely to squat than nationals?

That is an ongoing debate, currently being tested by several of us.

The +3 will jack up the ear of the truck, about an inch + over mid perch height.

If you dont want that look or need that travel go with +2.

As, Huck said there are mixed opinions. What I can tell you for certain is I've had the same set of deavers +3 on my 2011 and now my 2013 and they have yet to sag. I mentioned some number in another thread which were actually lower because i forgot to roll over street miles and towing miles from my 11. Anyhow, my springs have roughly 19,000 total miles on them. Of those approximately 19,000 miles, 2000 are towing 6000lb trailer, and 3500 are offroad.

I don't think you can ask for more form a spring IMO. I'm not saying any other of the springs out there can't do the same but this has been my experience with Deavers.
