The nylock nuts McMaster has are 12mm tall. I think that would leave enough area sticking out of the washer to grab with a socket.

Even if they could grab the nut, being a nylock it would rotate the bolt and they'd be unable to loosen it.

The bigger issue with a 12mm tall nylock would be that the lock key might not work/seat properly.

I tried to use their "contact us" page, but that didn't quite work from my iOS device.

Just playing devils advocate here, why buy used shocks to replace stolen shocks? Don't you all have comprehensive coverage? It shouldn't make your insurance premiums go up because it's not a collision. I have USAA and I had my car broken into and the premiums didn't go up. Just a thought.

Suppose the end of the bolt were drilled and a loop of safety wire was threaded through the hole and tightened securely around the threads. It's not perfect security, but it would add an unexpected difficulty that a thief might not be prepared to defeat.

You can also drill through the nut and press a roll pin through it, did this on other projects, think I'll be doing my shocks next.

My deductable is $100 for theft, so I upgraded to 3.0s for about $400. Insurance would have covered the cost of the stock ones, no problem.

I also went to 3.0s, because at that time, the shocks had a +1 month backorder.

Curious, what is insurance retail pricing for stock rear shocks?
