I'm using a material that's like Dynamat just not as thick so I'll layer it.
It doesn't cost much. Been a bunch of reviews of people that have used both, so I'll give it a try.
One roll is like $17 and you can buy it at your local Home Depot. To me anything is better then nothing. We'll see how it works and I'll try and do a video of before and after.

I hope it is not asphalted sheeting. That stuff stinks up the vehicle and does not really hold up well to the automotive environment. I used Raammat in my STi and it worked really well. it is Butyl based and not asphalt based. check it out. Raamaudio

I can't believe Ford wouldn't make this easier. I have a latch at the top of back seats on my truck that let the backseats fold down and I've been able to store tons of stuff back there. Hmm...you could kind of Jimmy up something with a rope and create a loop at the top of the seat to make this a little easier.

Just like the Aux wire length... :)

I think someone did just that.....attached a loop using something like a wire tie.

I used a piece of soft leather, it has good friction and won't slide off.

I agree, would be nice if this was standardized

The seats are not meant to fold down for storage. That is why it is not easier. It is a for installation into the vehicle and service. I am guessing. Otherwise the trim close outs on the rear of the seat would have been much better and the center occupant would most likely have an ISS belt, not belt to body.

Exactly.. But there is a little nice amount of unused space behind there for antennas, lens covers for the led bars, etc.. Can't store anything bulky..
