I just picked up a new raptor about 3 weeks ago and notice a odd popping noise coming from the rear of the truck. It does it when doing 30-40mph and coming to a stop. Sounds like exhaust or rear end location. Not sure if this is normal or not? Took it to the dealer and they said it was the driveshaft and re lubed it. But it came back immediately so that definitely wasnt it.

Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone know the fix?

I sometimes get a little bit of a backfire. Happened yesterday after filling up. Probably the same sound you are mentioning.

Funny, I actually just experienced this yesterday in my new 19. It happened twice, right after I filled up with gas. I wasn't sure if it could have been my daughters stroller banging around in the back or a backfire of some sort.

someone here speculated that the pop is the gas tank shifting or settling in the brackets(?) I’ve gotten it once or twice.

Many posts on this. Normal behavior of the Raptor to pop after filling up.
