Just put an Equil-i-zer, 10000lb weight distribution hitch on to pull a camper.
With the trailer disconnected, I keep the hitch in the receiver, but every time I put it in reverse, the truck thinks I'm about to crash into the hitch! A loud warning beep comes on and I have to manually disable rear parking assist.
Also, when I tried going into the settings to disable rear parking assist, it only lasts until I turn the truck off.
I can't figure out if there's something I need to calibrate or if there is a way to defeat this.
