Had my 13 Screw in for 10 k mile oil change and service and they informed me my rear diff pinion was leaking pretty bad. Fixing it under warranty now. I have noticed zero leakage in my driveway. Anyone with any experience with this?

Tech brought me out there to see it and looks like it's been slinging oil around back there. I guess just a defective seal?

Let me know how the repair goes, GeauxOffRoad. If you need any assistance from my neck of the woods, shoot a PM my way with your info and I'll do what I can to help. I'll need your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership.

I've had mine sealed about 6 times under warranty... even upgraded to a '13 rear cover from my '11, which is thicker. Still leaks. Haha.

Frustrating.

Thanks! So far so good. What is your neck of the woods?

Just noticed a little bit of oil on the rear drive shaft joint. But there isn't any thing on the diff it's self around where the seal is it looks like it is leaking down the shaft in the center out where the driveshaft is bolted then getting spun around. It is very minimal, not even a drop on the ground to see. I am still under warranty, but I dread taking my truck to the dealer, and I have a mag-tech cover. So am sure they will say that's what's wrong. Does any body know how much it would be to fix this if they don't accept it. Or is it even worth worrying about if it is such a tiny amount. All of my past trucks have leaked a little around the rear diff cover and I never really worried. But this truck is my baby so I worry more.
