Anyone fixed a rattling sound from the passenger side. When I give it gas sometimes it rattles. Sounds like thin metal rattling like a heat shield but i cant seem to find a heat shield anywhere.

Check your inner fenders and make sure the clips are pushed in all the way from underneath, just a thought, they do come loose, may not be your problem, but it will give you something to check off your list.

Could be IWE, they are operated by vacuum and require a steady vacuum to stay disengaged. Vacuum system failure is common, when mine went the most notable sign was a high pitched chatter/rattle from the front end.

Can you duplicate in 4wd?

I had some time today and found the stock manifold heat shield loose so I removed it. Was very difficult had to cut in pieces.

I also noticed some ticking sound when the truck was idling from the engine on the passenger side is that normal?

Might have been better to re-affix that heat shield rather than hack it up. Did it resolve the noise?

The ticking is likely normal, it could due to the metals expanding (all at different rates) and things moving. You will find it goes away if it is this. Injectors also make a ticking sound. You need to be much more specific about the location.
