so cal
just to chime in. i have owned 20+ cars and truck so far. make and models are irrelevant since they are no more. as far as trucks go, the current #8 ford is a raptor. the reason all the cars are gone is i got very used to the versatility if a truck. i tend to drive the cars way more aggressive, and don't feel as safe either.

as far as the grin factor? the raptor is so much fun i need a break off road. or that seams like a great excuse to let my best friend drive it. would feel like a **** making him sit in the passenger seat all day. comically he never drove my 14 lariat, on or off road.
it takes a truly bad-ass all around truck to make my wife agree on first sight to trade in the 14 lariat we special ordered with the heavy duty payload. raptor is a family toy and daily driver, vs the lariat the was a family truck/work truck. in short get one. worse case u drive it a year with minimal depreciation. best case u get crazy and turn it into a trophy truck.

edit: if you are in the so cal are we can go for a ride. note you are responsible for any tickets u may get lol
