Hey all, just traded in my 2022 3.5 for a 24 Raptor R. Went ahead and got the whipple on order and I'm trying to find some quality long tube headers to install in the mean time and I'm coming up empty handed. Is there no aftermarket option available for the 5.2 in the F150? That seems wild to me but none of the major manufacturers list anything for the R. What am I missing?

There's probably not going to be as big of a market for long tubes for this truck compared to the mustang but with time I'm sure something will be available.
Maybe it's because routing the primaries is a nightmare or manufacturers are worried about flanges cracking with one decent jump but who knows.

Is Whipple doing custom calibrations with the kit or are you just looking for a sound/appearance change?

No custom cal but that doesn't mean changes can't be made. We're making 900+whp with a 50 state legal whipple cal on the Mustangs and the exhaust helps out a reasonable amount.
With the right hardware and defoulers, long tubes w/cats do not illuminate the CEL and combined with the better sound, its a win win.

I figured with the R coming out in 23, there would be long tubes available by now but perhaps I'm wrong

I'm sure at least one company will build them. Plenty of options for the Gen1 raptor, certainly no concern regarding cracking if they're built well.

I wonder if the gt500 5.2 headers would work.. i would be fine with shortys.

They'll bolt up to the motor. But even in a Mustang, header fitment is TIGHT. I would only buy them with the assumption they may not fit and you'll have to try reselling them at a loss because you won't be bale to return them. With any mustang part, you will definitely need to do some exhaust fabrication to mate things up.

I'm keeping an eye out for them, also, for several Raptor R's we've whippled, now. Worst case we'll build them in-house, but I'd rather not, if there's going to be a quality mass produced option. Same goes for upgrading the fuel systems.
