I don't think i would need any fake engine noise pumped in as I wouldn't be able to stay off the throttle!

Bad ass truck! Too much for me though.

Fake or piped? It probably is piped to bring intake noise into the cabin. No need to fake the V8 sound.

Not the first performance vehicle or Ford to have intake noise piped through the firewall.

You can swap the plastic intake piping on the 09-19 Taurus SHOs for the ones on a Lincoln MKS and have a much quieter engine. The part on the SHO that makes the noise is called- the noisemaker.
