I'm sure it will all do the job you're hoping it will. But that sure seems like a lot of extra stuff to go wrong. If you plan to wheel your truck, you might want to consider keeping things as simple as possible.

everything but the EL icon. other than that, i think you will be ok.

dont worry big j, if its installed correctly there shouldnt be any problems. my viper has been in my truck for a while now. it has survived quite a bit of offroading ....... and a rollover......

all the dei/viper/clifford/etc on amazon (along with other sites) are units not covered by dei. these units were sold illegally and now have shown up online. the serial numbers were recorded so dei will not provide any warranty service for these products. if you buy a defective product you will not be able to get it serviced or replaced by dei. that being said, it is very tempting to make your purchases on amazon because of the price at which they are available. they are even sometimes cheaper than our dealer cost, however these units will eventually dissapear.

as far as wiring goes, you need to have an understanding of how the system works. the dball is the remote start bypass unit necessary for you to be able to start the truck without the key. d2d means data to data wiring. most of the connections can be controlled by the data interface in the dball.
