i had an ecoboost FX4 for 5 mos. i couldnt stand it, and regretted not getting a raptor every day i owned it.

You could affirm your thoughts with linexsa's plan. Buy the ecoboost for an expensive test period and trade up for the one you should have bought in the first place.

My thought: If you're considering a Raptor, you're doomed. Nothing will do, but a Raptor. Any auto/truck purchases will only bring temporary relief. But the cure is still a Raptor.

I saw a FX4 the other day at the jordan dealership in San Antonio where I picked up my raptor. It was a raptor look alike that they built with the smooth fender flares, raptor rims, stickers, suspension lift and light bar. It had 45k sticker but sales man told me that it was 15k on top of that for the upgrades. Even he thought it was stupid. He called it a faptor (fake raptor). 60k for a non ecoboost fx4 that is a raptor wanna be!

If you're going to let your wife drive it, you might end up having to get one for yourself.

i go away for the weekend and come back to find my wife has driven all my toys and left no gas in them. just when i think she could care less about the expensive hobby i have.

i might have a line on getting a pretty good deal on a '14.

For towing an enclosed trailer with a 4K lb car inside what you realy need is an F250 not a Raptor.

With a 4k car and depending on the weight of your trailer, you might be getting close to the max for a Raptor. The FX4 with the eco and max tow package can you to 11,000 lbs. I agree on the F250 for towing.

priceless. my wife hasn't wrecked one of my cars yet, but she did decide to take my cts-v out in the ice last winter and spun it out in a gas station parking lot up into a snow bank. bad enough it took a tow truck to pull it off the snow bank.
