I towed a new toy home today from havasu back to Phoenix. I was worried how the truck would handle the 6800lbs. Well, it was awesome. Plenty of power and control. We were cruising 75-80 all the way home averaged 9.4 mpg.

The trans temp did get up to 211 pulling up a long hill, is that within reason? Other than that time it stayed around 203. Thanks for some perspective.

Worthless without pictures, I know.3u8e2ana.jpg

Apples to Oranges, but my built trans in my diesel ram doesn't (usually) get over 190. That being said, at the 4wheel jamboree in Indy, in traffic lapping the building it got up to 220 between stopped in Drive constantly, a few burnouts, and 80-90 degree ambient temps. So i wouldn't sweat it
