There is only one Raptor to me. I like tacos (let your imagine run with that one)...not Toyotas though so if that's the bar to beat then I guess. I'd never own a Ranger 'Raptor', so no harm or fowl. Is there a Maverick Raptor yet?
I agree 100%, I’m just saying if you’re shopping midsize off road trucks, I’d easily take it over the T urd Pro, zr2, etc.

Just wait until the Mustang Raptor comes out. You think I’m kidding.

I still own both and if I had to choose one, it would be the 2019. If I had a do over, I would have purchased a 21/35
My plan is to have two sets of wheels/tires so I can switch between 35 and 37, hopefully the best of both worlds.

I went to a car wash today and saw a Bronco Raptor. I spoke to the owner and he told me that he wished he bought an F150 Raptor. He said, his Bronco is way too gawdy ……his words and my thoughts. To each their own, but I think it looks weird. The Gen 3 is pushing the limit on size, especially width, but IMHO the Bronco passed the limit. We exchanged vehicles for a drive around the block and the Bronco drove like a boat……even more boatish than my 21/37. Like I wrote elsewhere, I think, other than shocks and some of SYNC 4 with the large screen, my 2019 Raptor is a better handling vehicle.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but I agree with you. The whole thing is a high school design project. I can understand the Wrangler evolution and not wanting to pissoff diehards but Ford had an opportunity to come out with something great with a new ground up design and this is what they come up with? An overgrown pig with the same styling as a box truck.
…but what do I know? People are waiting years to get one so Ford knows their audience.

I never indicated it looks like an overgrown pig box truck, but I agree. Compare side by side pictures of the 4 door Wrangler and the Bronco, they are almost identical. Then look at the Raptor Bronco. It looks like a bodybuilder on steroids, big, but ugly! Many women say size doesn’t matter, Ford did not listen! I personally think the Bronco thing is a fad, similar to the PT Cruiser and many others.

I was waiting out for the Bronco Raptor till the price with ADM and the flares don't do it for me.

At the price it's going at, Gen 3 Raptor all day long + $$$

In fairness, the vehicle needs to perform to the desired outcome, and anything outside that is a negative.

The width is due to suspension travel and not wheel offset/etc.….

The added width/proportions isn’t for looks, so if the use case isn’t right for the purchaser that is one thing, but if you want the wheel travel on a non-center mount then you are going to have to deal with the width.

Also long travel vehicles certainly do not handle like a care on rails, any benefit you add for off road performance will be a decrease in regards to a daily driver. The raptor variants of their respective vehicles are as close as you can get to a decent handler vs a stock vehicle.

For fun compare the various off road vehicles and their performance vs how they are used. First thing that comes to mind is the pro 2/4’s vs the unlimited trophy trucks.

I do have to honest with myself though, not at all a fan of the bronco raptor “fenders”/“fender flares” could have been all fiberglass and looked solid, could have gone bed linered steel/aluminum but shaped way better, but whatever they actually went with I am not a fan of

I finally saw a Broncos raptor in person a couple weeks ago. It didn't excite me. It was at the dealer and it was ordered for someone. Sticker was $83,***., recaro interior and a few other options. No beadlock capable wheels. So I went to the build and price sight when I got home and realized they jacked the base price to over $86k! That same bronco would now have a price tag of over $91k. Ouch!
I think if you have the money to throw around and you want a turn key off roader, buy one, remove the ugly flares jack it up enough to clear 40s and head to moab. I think the flares are designed be easily removed or replaced if damaged from off roading. No need to paint them or anything like that.
I'll choose the f150 raptor every time. When it comes to the bronco, my choice is a two door sasquatch. Just fits my use/ terrain better.

The Braptor was a fair deal for $68k at release. But as you said, Ford has increased the price massively, and even if you can score one without ADM, $86k is a tough pill to swallow for an SUV that is significantly less practical than the F-150.

They are incredible off-road though and if I could responsibly afford one, I would definitely get one.
