I love it on the highway. Cars get out of the fast lane like you're parting the red sea. People in NH are great about moving to the right anyway, but when I have to drive in MA (worst drivers anywhere) it moves people out of the way like no other vehicle.

My thoughts exactly. The true benefit of a Raptor on the highway (especially at night) is that people move out of the left lane for you... mostly.

Other cars don’t try to squeeze in front of you if I’m in the Raptor.

If I’m driving a car, happens all the time.

Dude? You’re in Canada, eh.
Down here they most certainly try the same BS; rather than wait in line, they ride up the front of the line and look for a gap they can nose in front of someone.

I’m waiting for a new rear wheel well trim piece courtesy of some selfish as$hole who did exactly this. Lucille ripped that front bumper right off the other SUV.

Doesn’t matter if you’re in a Raptor, Hummer, super duty - hell I had a close personal friend get cut off in his deuce and a half! The more overcrowded the area, the more selfish and impatient the drivers are.

Exactly!!! No matter what truck I have had, DB’s will dart in front of you to get in a lane or pass and maybe I’m doing 80 already. It’s true, the more population and the more crowded the roads and highways, the more people can’t wait or just drive like A-holes.

While I normally hold my lane just fine, many idiots are on phones, or occupied doing anything but driving and drift on to or very close to the line in the lane. Once I pass them by normally cruising along, they suddenly swerve back into there line. As they realize there are other large vehicles on the same road and they need to pay attention.

Big. Honking. Tooters.

this is where an airhorn helps. I have direct drives good for 118 db - which towers over the wimpy stock horn which registered something like 90db. Even that’s not enough. You need something that’s at least 130+ db; suppressed supersonic rifle level sound.

Even that is not a guarantee that some self absorbed knucklehead won’t drift over into you.

We need some dashcam video, preferably with some distracted driver darting off the road into the bar ditch. Please, oh please!

Haha,

Yep all the time, much more in the Raptor than my previous Platinum. The RAM boys are particularly obnoxious and some Chevy fan boys as well. I generally just ignore them but every once in a while your run into a <very persistent> obnoxious RAM driver who has really bought into the "Hemi" marketing. I smoked one of these guys several months ago and when we pulled up the stop light he was so upset he wouldn't look over and I could see the veins in his neck standing out! LOL, I've have learned many times in the past - no matter how fast your particular vehicle is, there is ALWAYS someone faster... Fellow Ford owners generally just check it out and may give you a thumbs up.

I've even had a RAM Hemi driver pull up and try and race me in the GT350?! I was smiling and ignoring him until the 3rd light when I got tired of his crap, gave him a head nod and proceeded to smoke him, pretty sure he'll not mess with a GT350 again anytime soon. Honestly I was disappointed I let him get to me as I don't like driving that way in town...

I had an a**hole in a piece of crap older Chevy actually come into my lane and force me off the road a bit. He had a smirk on his face as he went by. I almost turned around and went after him but thought, with two kids who rely on me, not worth confronting a possible crazy person. It was enough for me to know that he was obviously bothered by the fact that he is who he is and I am who I am......

The wife and I went out to dinner tonight and on the way home had to deal with one of the RAM drivers a lot of you have mentioned. He tried his best to challenge me. I told my wife he wasn’t worth the gas and I let him go...

I’ll chalk that up to him wishing he had such a distinctive truck.
