I ordered mine in Fairmont, so about 90 miles away from your dealer. I'm also looking at canceling the order and buying off a lot.
Keep in mind I'm assuming my dealer scheduled this as a priority 10 order from the start. I just saw a couple days ago the order confirm showed it as a schedule 80 so I'm assuming they changed the priority once it was submitted to Ford.

Hey Smokie, I'm going to go to the dealer tomorrow. To see if they can help me out. I hope I can get some good info out of this. If they can get me a truck by the 1st. SOLD! Wish me luck

Stau40, I agree with you. Talk about shit! I'm going to the military dealer tomorrow and seeing what they can do for me. I hope I can get some good news. I'm about a month away from coming home and I sure don't want to rent a car. I put the $1,000 down, but I'm not stressing. I will back out of this order if I can get one from these guys. If the March time frame is what it is, there is no way. I know my family really won't help me out. Hence the reason I've been in Afghanistan working for 5 years. I just want a truck and if I can match the price or get close, I will pull my truck and order a new one. Good luck on yours. Keep me posted

GREAT NEWS!!! I just talked to my dealer and I have a VIN NUMBER!!! Man, if I could have a drink over here, I sure would buy you guys a round. Since we can't drink, can you boys and girls have a few for me?? I will keep you guys posted on the updates and what not. He said it should be here by the 1st week of Feb. If not, they are going to lend me a loaner...Better than renting a car.

Cheers!

You talked to your dealer in Redwood Falls and he said you have a VIN?

I'm happy for you, but extremely pissed at my dealer because this obviously isn't a ordering region issue as they told me. It's looking like they submitted my order as a priority 80 and scheduled trucks for their lot at a higher priority before they changed my priority to 10. Time to have a good talk with my salesman.

Yeah, I just emailed him. I was not a happy customer. Eventhough is was an email, I think he could feel my wrath!!!
I would go in there and talk to your dealer and give him a piece of your mind. Its all empty promises. I would try to get some free stuff out of it. Like a Line-X or a extended warranty. If not, pull your card and go find one you want. Thank God for this site, huh?
Cheers

Now take the vin and see if your window sticker shows up. If so then you can see when the build date is and that will help you figure out a pretty close guess to the delivery date.

Congrats man!!!!! Now call SVT (800-367-3788) and give them your VIN# or your order# and dealer code, and see if they have a build date for you. It took me about 2 days after I got my VIN# to get my week-of build. Then about 2 weeks later I got my day-of build. I got my VIN# on Dec 15th and my build date is Jan 16th. Taking out a week shutdown for Christmas, if you just got a VIN# today, I'm going to guess your build date won't be till the week of Jan 30th at soonest, but more likely Feb 6th, which would put delivery between weeks of Feb 13th and Feb 20th. So you could be without a vehicle for several weeks still.

I'd just make sure you save that email where the dealer put in writing that they would give you a FREE loaner if you don't have a truck DELIVERED by Feb 1st. This way they don't come up with excuse of "here's a loaner, but its $50 a day to loan it", or "your truck is built, just not here yet, it'll be here tomorrow....tomorrow....tomorrow....tomorrow....tomorrow...." lol it'll take one time of hearing that before you're fed up haha. So to nip it now, just make sure you cover your *** on that dealer agreement! I'm hoping for you that they've had the VIN for a while now and just never sent it to you, but if it really was just released today, I'd say there's a 1% chance you'll have the truck by Feb 1st. More than likely it'll be mid way or the end of Feb.

If there is a vin, there is a build date. It will be a "week of" build date.

But definately a date is set.

Shouldn't be a ton longer. As long as their are no hickups.

My order just got bumped to a priority 1 so we'll see how long it takes to get a VIN after that. Either way I agree with Reptar, it's unlikely you'll see the truck by Feb. 1 unless you've had a VIN for weeks and the dealer didn't tell you.

Thanks for the help on this. I will definitely bring those emails with me. Just incase there is a fast one pulled on me. I will call SVT today and find out the details and play it by that. I would love to have my truck the day I come home, but if not, I can wait that extra week or two if I got a free loaner. Being over here the wait isn't bad, cause there is nothing you can do but look at pictures and dream, but now the days are coming to an end. I know how you guys feel in the states. Its brutal!
There isn't a website, is there? Do you have to speak with a Rep. from SVT?

This is what my dealer wrote me in an email...

The truck does have a VIN already. The status code on it is "submitted to plant" and usually it will change to "scheduled" within a couple days. At that point it will have an estimated date of arrival. If it is not here I'm sure we can get you something to drive until it gets here. My guess is it will have a delivery date of the first week of Feb. Here is the VIN if you want it. 1FTFW1R62CFA74897

What are the hours for SVT? I'm about 10.5 ahead of Central time.
