Raptor Dealers Selling Near Invoice

If you ran a business and you had a product that was high demand and buyers are stupid enough to pay MSRP and above, would you not sell this product as the highest price possible?

In this situation you have the opportunity to beat them at their game and buy one at invoice. My advice is to order one and save yourself 4k+

They do it for every other car on their lot. Dealers are just getting greedy with Raptors.

Shouldn't you get a better deal if your aquaintances with the sales manager? I would think if I paid MSRP from someone I knew, he wouldn't be an aquaintance after that. Doesnt sound like friends helping friends.

I went by Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad Ca tonight and saw four SCREW Raptors on the lot. Cheapest one was 55K used. Brand new was over 75K after all the mark ups. God I hate dealerships that do this!
Heller Ford in Escondido is still doing 500 over invoice.

You can pretty much remove the part about the dealer in NO, LA. I tried talking to them and they're hooked on MSRP (56K), and thats because supposedly he's cutting me a deal from their original asking price of $59k. Thats good for someone in CA maybe, but I'm not paying it.

I hate it too, but if they have customers who are paying these prices then you can't hold it against them. If their trucks don't move and are still on the lot after several months then they'll soon be out of business.

I read online that these Raptors can be exported for almost double the $ paid for originally.

Not sure how true that is to be......

No luck so far in CA...

Redlands- Robyn says they have sold out their allocation for 2013, but will put me on a list for 2014
Patchetts- offered invoice+$1500 (instead of invoice+$500) ETA 8wks
Morgan Hill- offered invoice+$450, but cant give an ETA at all
Heller- MSRP on orders, but flexible price if on lot/instock (makes no sense) and of course there's none instock

Still waiting reply from Super Ford, Frontier Ford, Tom Jones Ford..
I feel like Im running out of options. Lookin like Im better off ordering at invoice, from an out of state dealer, flying out to pick up and take a road trip back to Cali. The $$ saved will pay for the mini vacay. Aahh but closer to home is so much more convenient.... HELP!!
