I've been driving off road for 40 years, 55 years if you count tractors. But I know bupkis about Baja-style driving, so I figured that it would be worth my time, especially since I can drive out and make a week of it. If I've got my truck back by mid-September. I wish I was joking. How's the high-speed curriculum?
There is no high speed curriculum. They want you to stay close in each others dust so you cannot go very fast. The baja section is nothing like baja-style driving, it’s a small circler closed course with a groomed track with cones. It more or less is to teach you about understanding the apex in a corner, so they use cones to show you. The only baja thing about it is they have you go into Baja mode in 2WD.

If you have been driving a truck off-road for years, the course is boring. It is really geared to beginners

It really a one day event, with a meet in the evening before the event day. We were back early enough that another group could meet in the evening after us. They had twice as many trucks as the groups in our event, so they don't even have to stress about cleaning the trucks.

Well, shoot.
want high speed, you gotta come to wyoming. i remember hearing that the course is more about the different modes of your truck and how to use them. certainly no fun if you are like me. although i can see why ford doesnt want people drifting at 102mph in the dirt. probably a lot of wrecks if that were to happen.
