...and before some self righteous a$$hat wants to attempt to judge me and my values, it has NOTHING to do with whether it is a important topic or not. Just in the wrong damn place.

Have to agree with Gordo here. It has everything to do with RA. Knowing what past attendees experiences were with this CV crap is very valuable and necessary. So keep reporting your experiences and how RA is dealing with it. I just got my VIN yesterday so will be making a reservation soon.

Anyone going to the Salt Flats?

Salt flats isn't very interesting. The mountains and deserts out in Utah are much more scenic and fun to drive. If the class goes as scheduled, I'm planning to drop south and then wander east near the state line for a week plus afterwards. But my focus is hiking, not driving.

This is the part everyone on all sides seems to be missing. We need to reduce R0 until it's close to or below one to avoid overwhelming the hospital system. That doesn't mean no social contact at all. It means limiting it. Spending a day in a car with two other non-symptomatic people isn't like getting drunk and going clubbing. If one of you does come down with it afterward, you quarantine. In the meantime, you wear your mask, wash your hands, and continue with the program. It's not rocket surgery. If everyone was willing to be diligent, we wouldn't have to shut anything down. But instead of trying to solve the problem, politicians and media on both sides are using it as a political football and misleading people for their own benefit. It's disgusting. Basically, as I see it, we're totally screwed. This is an easily understood, solvable problem. And we're in the middle of an epic fail on it.

I feel I've done my part to minimize the spread of the Chinese virus. I stopped wacking off for THREE DAYS! Not all in a row, but still!

I just received this from RA - reading below under Helpful Tips, mentions masks and go pro as well. I'm going in a couple of weeks in mid July.

NEW LOCATION

We have recently moved to a new facility and wanted to give you additional resources to get here. We have provided two links below.

For Google Map users search - Ford Performance Racing School - West

Turn by turn video to 1618 H Avenue Tooele, UT from I-80 West.

We are still working to get our address to correctly populate in Apple Maps.

If you are struggling to find us. Please call 435-775-2211 after 7:30 am for assistance.

Helpful Tips

Below are a few tips to help make the most of your experience.

  • Pack comfortable clothing for your driving day - shorts or jeans and a tee shirt with a light jacket are best. However, prepare for possible WEATHER a hat, sun glasses, and sunblock are also good ideas.
  • Face masks are required for in vehicle activities due to close contact.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required.
  • If you plan to bring your own helmet it must meet or exceed the Snell SA2010 rating and be in good condition.
  • If you plan to use an action camera (i.e. GoPro), please note that you may only use suction cup mounts on the inside of the vehicles. Adhesive mounts are prohibited on our vehicles and helmets.
  • We only accept credit/debit cards onsite - no cash. Be sure to provide notice of your travel plans to your bank/credit card company (especially if traveling from Canada)
  • Although drinks are available throughout the program day, we strongly encourage you to drink at least 64 oz. of water per day for a minimum of two days before your school. Our altitude and arid climate may be taxing on the body.
  • We provide light refreshments, coffee and juice for breakfast. Lunch is provided.
  • We disinfect all high contact surfaces several times throughout the day.
  • The Raptor Assault shared truck policy will still apply to all future programs.
