How do they verify if the guest attending is related to the owner? Is it practically possible to go on a friend's or neighbor's VIN spot if they don't want to go?

when you register, they match the name you register under to the vin and bill bill of sale from the dealer.

when you check in, you have to provide identification.

pretty sure they have it set up that way to prevent exactly what you want to do.

They will allow other people to takes someone’s place as far as I have been told. Just give the school a call.
