For anyone on the fence about attending Raptor Assault: DO IT!

The course is world class, with outstanding instruction and content. I walked away with a newfound appreciation for the capabilities of my Raptor, and a much greater knowledge of the various modes and features.

Ford really goes all out for new Raptor owners with this course.

Any word of the future of RA after this year? I know when I attended in April, there was a lot of uncertainty due to issues with the city on whether or not it would be able to continue.

I was led to believe the "city" wasn't an issue. I am thinking it could be more of a FORD issue or the racing center. I still am unclear on who is paying for the class and instructors.

While on the road trip it was mentioned several times to use cruise control (do not speed), do not cut off vehicles so you can stay in a convoy etc. We made sure we were not a hindrance to the local community. We asked John (lead instructor?) if the city has any issues with RA and I recall him saying there has not been any complaints.

Yeah, they were pushing home the need to keep a low profile when I was there too, though they never said anything about cruise control. They also seem to be taking steps to reduce liability/risk. The baja portion from my understanding pales to what it used to be. I felt like the instructors were on egg shells and if anything went wrong, the program would be axed. I'm glad I was able to experience the class and hope it continues for future Raptor owners.

On the baja, I went early, and the limit they set was reasonable, I want to say 60, and I heard MANY in my small group brag about surpassing that, as well as heard instructors on the radio scolding people ( there were even a few "offs"). Pretty ******** people cant just chill. I have read now they have dropped the limit.

Some guy went back at night so he could go faster on the Baja section in his personal Raptor. Ended up flipping it.
