I still think the Gen 2 looks better but I plan on upgrading to a Gen 3 once the hype dies down. I don’t care about always having the latest and greatest, but unlike certain cars, I don’t really wanna hold on to an off road vehicle (or mtb for the same reason) for too long because off roading is a rough environment and wears things out, so maintenance goes up exponentially over time.

If I were you, and you weren't worried about ruining your reputation with that dealer, I'd take the Gen 3, flip it, and buy another Gen 2 and pocket the difference.
I agree that the styling of the Gen 3 is pretty poor compared to 1/2. The Tailgate app looks like it belongs on a Nissan Titan not a ford Raptor.. it has no character at all, the rear tail lights like you said are ugly red triangles, and the front end just misses the mark. Gen 1 and 2 Raptors are so iconic for the aggressive front end and I don't get the same feeling when looking at a Gen 3.
What dealer we talking here, gotta assume it's Phil Long or Groove.

Now that i'm seeing a lot of Gen 3s on the road, the biggest design flaw is the smoothing out of the flared fenders. The aggressive widebody look is what makes the Raptor stand out, I have no idea why Ford tried to subtle the look and make it more like a regular F-150. The grille has definitely grown on me over time. I'm not in any hurry to upgrade, but eventually will just for the 5-link rear suspension.

I should add that it’s close to free when you add up what the truck needs (almost $2k in new tires and a Ford extended warranty since I’m approaching 30k)

The dealer owes me and is definitely doing me a solid.
must not be phil long......

anyways, ask your dealer if they will trade for a 2014 with 220k miles for the same, even trade with paying for the 37upgrade. im not too far from you, so i can drop off the truck as soon as they are ready.

Ok so they will give you a 2023 for your 2020 straight up just because? So do you have to give then your truck now and they will give your the 2023 when it arrives sometime in the future????

Alcohol or drugs were involved in this post. Unless you left out Rousch or Shelby mods and your truck new was 115k.

Did they fix cam phase issues on the G3?
Is the G3 faster?
Is it better on gas mileage?
