That width that you guys are pointing to is the width with the mirrors. This thing will be a useful 20" shorter than a Raptor and at least a foot narrower. The inevitable U.S. version will doubtless get the 2.7 ecoboost and the 10-speed. Should be a hoot if they can keep the price reasonable (that means < $45K loaded up, Ford). Time will tell, it is still 2 years off from going on sale here.

CombatNinja,
Where does it say that the width is measured at the mirrors? Please let us know your source so it may be verified.
Or just your conjecture?
If the axle is 6 inches wider like the F-150 Raptor's axle is 6" wider than the F- 150, the measurements given make sense....

Eddie

Edit: "The truck is 67.3 inches wide at the front and rear tracks." Autoblog

VWVortex.com - Ford Ranger Raptor Debuts With 210 Biturbodiesel Horsepower

This thread here has a pretty definitive discussion on the width^^

Also, apply some common sense. Just look at the narrow center console in the pictures and extrapolate from there. This thing is simply not going to be as wide as an F-150 Raptor, not even close. Why would they do that? At the width some of you guys are suggesting, the truck would almost look square when viewed from above.

This picture is not a true representation as I could not find a picture online of both a Raptor-ized Ranger and F-150 in the same shot but it gives you a basic idea of the size difference we are talking about. In a nutshell, the Ranger is 90% as long as the F-150 and the wheelbase is 86% as long as the bigger truck. This trend is going to continue across the board with it being 90% or so as wide, tall, etc. Probably also continue on to the pricing as well in which they charge 90% as much, unfortunately.
