Amazing that no other manufacturer has hopped the Raptor's coattails already.

A lot could happen between now and when the TRX hits the floors (the economy could turn, oil could increase, or the undead rise to feast on the flesh of the living, ect.).

I like the TRX but me thinks RAM will be too late to the party.

The Raptor bits add about 700# to the F-150. Tack another 700 lbs onto the Ram and it will need every one of those horsies.

I looked at the rebel earlier this year, decided to go with the Rap and have not felt I made the wrong choice.

Are you sure that a raptor is 700 pounds heavier? There's a current thread here on FRF about actual weights and most are in the 5.8-6.4 (thousand) pound range. Our 2010 Platinum SCREW weighed 6,200 pounds, of course that pig had 6 electric motors just for the running boards.

C&D lists the 2018 crew-cab Lariat 4x4 5.5' box at a 4,800 curb weight.

35" tires, wheels, skid plates, oversized shocks, beefed up suspension components, reinforced frame, flared bodywork, it all adds up.

I think it's great Ram is adding some competition. They've put out some cool vehicles in the Hellcat/Demon/Jeep and I'm anxious to see what they come up with. I'm not saying I'd jump ship, but I welcome competition that will force Ford to stay at the forefront. The current TRX, TRD pro ect models are apples to oranges.

Just based on aesthetics alone...I'm not at all impressed with those Dodge spy pics...that Nissan Titan Warrior admittedly looks pretty bad ass...just my opinion..but still prefer the wide beefy look of the Raptor...
