I've been on the fence for awhile on a raptor....... I'm just not sure if I will like it or if it will live up to the expectations that are in my head. My current ride is a 2013 ram 2500 laramie loaded cummins with 3in carli suspension with 37s link below. What are yalls opinions? I'm looking at 2 possible raptors one is a 2012 screw with add bumpers front and back and 45000 miles for 47k or a 2014 with 20000 miles for 52k... I don't tow anymore at all and don't plan to and if I do i have access to 2 1 ton diesels and a 3/4 diesel so not worried also don't see nearly as many cross country trips as much as the last couple years....just worried i will really miss the diesel lifestyle.......any insights would be great!

I think you are the only one who can answer this question. We all obviously here prefer the Raptor, and if you don't plan to tow then you are golden. The Raptor ride on pavement is a lot smoother. Not sure what the "diesel" lifestyle is other than pulling the green hose at the gas station.

Good luck.

I kinda did the same. I don't tow anymore either, went from a F350 diesel 4X4 to my 2014 Raptor. Wish I done it sooner!! Make the switch, you will be very happy. I would by the 2014, but that's what I got!!

Part of the diesel lifestyle you are really going to miss is the mpg's! With the Carli kit you probably have a very similar ride compared to the Raptor. You are looking at trucks that are pretty close to new MSRP. I'd wait until the new ones come out and get a '17 or a better price on a gen 1. Diesels are a different truck altogether and a Raptor isn't going to be as quick as your truck...or at least feel as quick

@Ni9mm not sure if you're close to him or not, but I'd bet he'd let you drive his.

We're not close . Im living in Ocala National Forest now. It is in my opinion the best place in Florida to off-road a Raptor. With that said I don't share. Sorry.
