In the old days didn't they have to start up the wipers manually, or something crazy like that.?.

I have the Tech package and 802A...
My rain sensing auto wipers go absolutely nuts in the rain. They go slow then fast, then slow then double fast then off then on, all in a consistent rain volume.
I have had it at the dealer once, they swear its fine, but the auto rain sense function drives me nuts.
I'm thinking of disconnecting the rain sensor and see how that works...

If you don't like rain sensing, use the manual settings. It seems some people have a really hard time grasping the difference between "AUTO" (dashes) and manual (triangles) detents on the stalk.

The only problem I have with auto is the occasional phantom wipes when dust is on the windshield by the sensor.

Annnd this is part of the reason I have not renewed my FRF supporting membership yet.. Amazing how times have changed:supergay:

Thanks for sharing. I can't speak for everyone, but I was just thinking to myself "I wonder why Fred hasn't renewed his membership?"

I get the phantom wipes (sounds like a sickness) too, but other than the occasional dry wipe when there's dust or pollen on the window, my autosensing wipers work perfect. Now my auto-headlights... that's a whole different story. Those F*ckers turn on and off all the time at random.

Every car i've ever owned has rain sensing wipers. They're called eyeballs. Those suckers see rain and somehow my hand turns the wiper control and that shit gets wiped right off.

You have two feet, so what do you need a car for?

My two feet cannot move 70 mph. Thats why I have a car.

My hand CAN turn on a wiper. That's why technology to do it for me is stupid.

If I could run 70+ mph for hours on end, trust me I wouldn't have a car.

Power windows?
Door locks?
Seats?
Cruise?

And heck, if moving at 70mph is the goal, why a Raptor? If you're all about saving money on things that aren't necessary, you spent about 4x more than you needed to.

I don't have any of those things. Or a raptor.
