radiator broke

Sounds like it's one of those things that can occur in manufacturing (weak spot) that can be revealed by doing more than driving on a freeway or local streets - like off roading.

I'm sure it won't happen again because the odds are against it with a new radiator.

Maybe a little rock made it through the grill and into the Radiator. I had that happened on my LTR 450, but I was racing and right at the tail of who was in first place. And I had Radiator guards and everything.

I'm with WhatExit? No visible damage, nicks, scrapes? Simplest explanation is usually correct. Woulda leaked after while regardless of driving style....nice that it happened under warranty.....thank you, Ford.

Busa, what exactly broke on the rad?

The electric fans are mounted to the rad. Can't really move unless a front end collision. The fan would have left a swipe across the fins. Very easy to diagnose.

all they told me was that there was a new radiator on order because this one has a leak. they havent told me how, exactly where, or why this could have happened. all they told me was it could have been from orrfoading. i should know more later today
