Can't wait to hear what Jimmy comes up with...high expectations here after the "field research" is finished...

I like the looks of the two tire rack...just seems overkill for me...I will say having some additional storage options will be nice...

Ok, here is the Yukon Expedition Under Cover bed rack

Set up to carry two water proof ammo cans and a YETI65 at the rear. Easy access to my tools (on right) and recovery gear (on left) and lunch and beers (middle)

I also carry 2 x 5 gallon scepter gas cans, stock spare tire, a hi-lift jack, and shovel.

The cover must be removed to remove the tire. Not ideal, but it was a compromise. The bed of the truck isn't that big, and the stock tire takes up most the bed.

Mounting points for the hi-lift and other goodies.

The jack utilizes a 4 point mounting system that is quick to remove. The base is held in place with two 3/8 studs lock washers and wing nuts. The other end with one one 3/8 stud oriented 90 degrees from the other two. The 4 th mounting point is the top of the wheel well. It removes any "bounce" from the system.

The rack is made completely of stainless steel standard wall pipe. It mounts to 5 of the bed bolts.

There are extra tie downs for when I need to bring the chain saw.

Joe, I think that is the most functional rack I have seen for a northerner like myself. I simply can't have all my stuff exposed to the elements. We don't all live in BCS.
