I've seen some R bumpers out there for sale and was thinking about upgrading my 24 801. What I have found is it "might work". Says the intercooler on the R is different so that might be where the problem lies. I already went with the R hooks and they were different as well. But it was an easy enough mod to make it work. So the intercooler issue sounds believable. Just don't know how much modding would be needed.

I live outside of Denver, if you’d like we can meet up and make some comparisons? I’m going to be taking mine off soon as well. So if lines up mine would be available.

Cool. I'm in the SW part. When are you thinking about upgrading?

I’m already in talks with SVC so it could be within the next few weeks. I’m trying to expedite this process because we’re getting ready to move in May.

That sounds out by the old dog track. There's a lot of places to open an R up out there if so. I drove that stretch a lot before Covid. Congrats on the move...staying in state? Once you know more from SVC hit me up. I'm waiting for my son to get home from college to help with some builds I want to upgrade. So I have some time to kill.

Yeah lots of dirt roads to open up and haul out here.

We’re moving in the next 6-8 weeks and SVC is going to try and get my bumpers here the end of this month.

Sounds like our timelines might be off, but if you want to verify dimensions so you know for sure let me know.

I’m guessing they fit with minimal modification. But I would also say these things aren’t selling as fast as it seems. I’ve been trying to off load my tailgate for about a week now, lots of interest but no takers.

R bumper is 100% direct swap on to any gen 3. Only thing that physically different would be the fog light pockets. So if you are hunting for R bumpers find one with the fog light pockets or plan to run an aftermarket setup.
