Question Regarding HID's

I was curious to see if anyone else was having this problem. A friend of mine was telling me that he was having the problem with his new 2013 HID's. However, I could not replicate the problem in my new 2013 FX4 demo with the new HID's. Not sure if it is Raptor specific.

Other than this problem, these lights are amazing. I was driving back down to NC at 1am the other night and with a desolate highway, these things are definitely bright.

I have a set apart right now. Noticed theres a very small amount of play in the cutoff shield. Its one of the worst designs Ive seen in a bi-xenon cutoff. I will try and take a video tonight and see if I can explain it.

If that is the cause theres really no easy fix.

I just installed 2013 HID's in my '12 and they have a little bit of flicker on some bumps, our M3 does it a little too and I remember my '11 Jeep Overland shook a little as well.

This is why I retrofit. Knew it was a matter of time before the blemishes surfaced, OEM for ya. I guess the next option is retrofitting the 13' HID with different projectors? I have a buddy experiencing this dilemma.

Quick and am sure an EZ question for you lighting gurus, does the head unit have to be taken apart to replace the projector or does it bolt to the outside housing? If attaches to housing, I understand the Evox projector is a replacement that fits, would this be a simple and relatively (and I stress relatively) inexpensive fix???

Having the same issue.....doesn't happen that often for me to get that upset about. I'm sure in due time there will be a fix.... OEM or aftermarket

ok so i have a flicker on my headlights...... but at the speed and depth of the pothole, it would probably not be a good measure to compare to. i was slightly exceeding the speed limit and hit a pothole about 3-4 inches deep. enough to wreck a cars alignment, and i did notice a slight flicker in the headlights during the impact
