Do they actually cover the headlight lens/housing or is that just the lamp? I'm reading through the premium coverages and I haven't seen where it specifies. Or are the lamps really that expensive?
I believe it covers the whole thing, here is the brochure, if you look under electrical and lighting, seems to describe the entire component. Also, when I spoke to Ford directly, the sales person made kind of a big deal about that as a selling point. The fact they charge extra for it, also leads me to believe it covers it all.

Excellent, thanks for the info. I was looking at Lombard's brochure and it's slightly different. Lighting coverage is an option.

Now I have to decide if I pay Flood's lower price and wait to get fog lights a couple of months or pay slightly more with Lombard and do 12 mo. and get my lights now too. I want to get the ESP before my truck is a year old and the price goes up.

Glad I could help. I bought my 18 used with 10k miles and it didn’t have one. When I called Ford, they had no record of one associated with the vehicle, but also said the original owner could have cancelled when he traded the truck, and was refunded the pro rated portion.

You may want to confirm with Flood or whoever you buy from, but I’m about 90% certain you can transfer to a new owner or get a refund for the unused portion if you ever trade the truck.

I bought he 8 year 65k (I only drive about 7500 miles a year in my cars because I have 2, three if you count the wife’s) with key and lighting protection it was only 1080. Cheap insurance to cover me till 2026.
