Question for guys that have done rear wheel wells with spray liner!

I would travel to go to a Line-X shop that was open. But if I really wanted to do it myself which I wouldn’t, I would get Upol Raptor Liner. And most get the sprayer.

Funny you said that, I just came across a Line-X guy today about 40 miles from me that said he would do it for $300. Not sure if it's worth that much, seems high to me. I know I'll be pissed if I do it myself and the stuff turns gray!

That’s what I paid. If I would do it again, I would request they take the tire off to get better coverage. When I had mine done before they didn’t remove it.

Most any surface can reflect UV rays. I hadn't thought much about it either until I saw how many complaints on Amazon were about the coating going gray.

I had my ‘17 Linex-ed when new.
It has held up 100%. They used a typical Linex texture which surprisingly sprays clean and still looks as black as when new.
They charged $400 cdn, which seemed steep at the time but was definitely worth it.

I used Rustoleum bedliner spray. Good shit and has held up fairly well. As said prep is key but easily doable in an afternoon.

Guess what I don’t understand is we own raptor’s that are one of the most expensive trucks made today and here we are complaining that $300 is high and too much. We need to get real. I can tell you right now that I wouldn’t even do your wheels wells even if you paid for the materials for $300. My time to do that and not do it as good as Line-x isn’t worth $300 of my time. I would want $500 for me even to consider messing with it.

Its not like we are talking about a beat up 15 year old chevy’s.

$300 to do the prep and wheel work is well worth it.

When Huskie came out a year or so ago with their wheel well units I purchased a set. After a couple hours it went nowhere so I called them. So they sent me a new set which didn’t fit either. Went to LineX and in about an hour it was done and I’ve never regretted it. They covered the shocks like I asked them as well. So I highly recommend them.

I would go with the Line-X, had mine done 9 years ago and it is one of the best thing I've done to my truck. Looks so much better than the half ass paint Ford sprays the wheel wells. It has held up with no issues and looks as good as the day it was done. Mine was the same textured spray as the standard bed liner spray. Don't go with cheap spoil your baby she's worth it.
