OKay.. I know if you buy Roush raptor from the dealer the warranty is granted.. but how about If you buy a raptor and then have a ford Roush dealer install the supercharger?

The dealer that I ordered My truck Is not a roush dealer.. So I have to find another ford dealer that has the roush dealership..

I talked to one around me and they offer the warranty same as if you bought the truck for the stage 1 but stage 2 and you are on your own.

I'm not convinced I am ready to go the S/C route but if I do then I am not convinced that the stage 1 is enough of a bump to make it worth while. I have a 900hp gt500 so I really don't need the go faster power in the truck - I am leaning towards just doing an intake and tune and cat back exhaust and calling it done on perf. mods but for now still stock and thinking about it. I'd suggest asking the dealer you go to as I don't know if it's the same for all of them??

I am deep in this analysis right now. I want a little more out of my 13, i did intake, LT/Exhaust and tune and it just was not enough on my 10 6.2.

Roush told me I could have it installed by an ASE certified installer and they will sign off on the 3rd party warranty. I did hear the same thing that the 3rd party would not warranty stage 2. Not a big deal to me as it gives me an upgrade path a little later down the road.

What I like about the Roush path over Whipple is I have a local installer I trust much more than any of the Roush dealers in the Denver metro area and it gives me the option of having them do it.

My thought on the supercharger is 1, I miss the whine of my old GT500, and 2, the truck is as fast or slightly faster than most cars. I think the SC would make it noticeably faster than most cars. There will always be cars that are faster but the odds of having to deal with them in traffic reduce dramatically. My basic axiom is I don't care how fast your car is, there is always something out there you will run into faster. You just need to be faster than most :)
