What do you do in the Great White North to combat salt?
I spray fluid film once a year on the suspension parts and undercarriage, others use the same or the Amsoil HD-- , can't remember the exact name off the top of my head. Because they can't undercoat your suspension moving parts anyway.

Do you do yourself of have it done?

It's $15 a spray can and i do it myself. Two cans the first time and then usually only one and a bit after that, because I find the first time I did areas that don't get dirty or salted anyway. Its pretty clean under my truck except for the rear springs, rusty son of guns (deavers).

If you're the **** retentive son of a bit-h that I think you are, you will wash your truck properly and I always pressure wash underneath it too. Flushing with "CLEAN", not recycled water is the key.

Fluid film works great, it smells awesome, not. We do this treatment ourselves.
I made the mistake of spraying it on with the truck in the garage, it stunk in there for 3 days. I always leave it outside for a few days now. It smells like dirty socks.

So should I just put my dirty laundry in the truck for a few days?
