I wanted to check, not implying anything. Every now and then someone new to 4 wheel drive will street drive in 4 High, not knowing how bad it is for the components. A few months ago my dealer had a new Raptor come back with all kinds of driveline damage/issues because the guy had been driving on wet paved streets in 4 high.I don't drive on 4hi at all. Im always on 2hi. Probably used it 2 or 3 times. Once today when all roads were icy.
With traction control, I don't find any real reason to use anything but 2H on the roads, icy or not. If I did, it would be 4A only on the road. 4H and 4L are off road only modes. Otherwise you can hear/feel some grinding and do some damage to the drivetrain.Im on 2hi all the time. I live in texas where once or twice during certain months we get icy conditions.
nah i think you were implying hahahaa i've probably used 4hi of a total of 5 min lifetimeI wanted to check, not implying anything. Put it in the Slippery drive mode. This defaults the drive to 4A. I use that when the roads here are snow covered and icy. I think it tones down the acceleration also.Im on 2hi all the time. I live in texas where once or twice during certain months we get icy conditions.
