The movie is pretty hilarious. It's called Clerks. It was directed by Kevin Smith, the guy who did Mallrats, Jay & Silent Bob, Dogma, etc.
I'm guessing it came out about '93-'94. Definitely worth watching, it's a 90's classic.
The Jay and Silent Bob movies are actually a spinoff of Clerks as Jay and Silent Bob (played by Kevin Smith) are the local pot dealers that hang outside Dante's convenience store.
