PTM Flares and Bumpers - Tux Black

After much debating (and many views of the "Golf To Impress" truck haha), I went ahead and had the bumpers and flares painted to match my tux black screw.

The minute I pulled up to the auto body shop I was amazed. Seemed like how the truck should have come from the beginning. Now it's kind of grown on me to where I don't really notice it anymore, but I still remember that first impression.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but for those on the fence here's a couple of pics:

As for painting the strip of skid plate, I've seen it both ways and think it looks better this way. Personal preference, but I like the skid plate being highlighted amidst all the black. On a different Raptor forum someone had painted that strip along with the bumper, and I had that pic and the Golf to Impress truck side by side.

Thanks, Blind... it's funny, I like the grey-ish flares and bumpers on every color of Raptor except the black. Like on your white, I think it sets off the truck and looks mean.

But on the black, it just looked washed out and dull to me. I debated Line-x for the look and durability with trees/bushes, but ultimately the paint won out.

What did it run you? I got a local quote here for $800. Trying to see how accurate that is.
