Welcome! Go with the Raptor!!! Still waiting for mine to arrive, but it will be my daily driver. I didn't get all the fancy options with mine though.

Definitely get the Raptor. Ours is Joe's daily driver and he loves driving it so much that there is never a question about what vehicle to take. And he's miserable when he can't drive it for whatever reason. When you get back test drive one and you'll know instantly. Thank you for your service and to the forum!

Welcome to the addiction. Raptor all the way mine is also my daily driver no complaints. i had a 2011 FX4 before the Raptor as i was in the same boat and thought i would be happy with the FX4. don't get me wrong i loved that truck but that being said i just could't shake the Raptor bug and pulled the trigger on a 2013 and couldn't be happier. so just do it right the first time and get the Raptor and save you'r self money in the long run. the Raptor may cost more up front but hold there valve way better than a regular F150 so the cost of ownership is actually less. someone did a spread sheet and crunched the numbers and the raptor came out on top win win.

Thank you all for the hearty welcomes! I didn't realize the decisions would be so unanimous. I understand this is a Raptor forum, but I thought their might be a little more hims and haws about the decision. I was leaning toward the Raptor in the first place, and now I think my decision is made. I think the biggest thing I still worry about a little is gas mileage, but if I am going to have a full size truck, I am definitely going Screw, instead of Scab, the gas mileage won't change too much. I have a Colorado right now, and I don't get any different mileage as it is. Looking forward to returning home and getting in the cockpit. I am sure it will sell me as soon and I turn the key over.

Also, thank you for the appreciation of service. I do it for my family and all of you! They are all our freedoms, not just mine. It is my pleasure to do my part.

no just kidding. get the raptor you will be way happier. this is coming from someone who has had a lot of ford trucks. the raptor is the best yet.

I was in the same boat as you, raptor or fx4. Needless to say I went raptor and haven't looked back. It's my dd and for a while I was driving 100+ miles a day.

Plus if you get just an f-150 you can't participate in all the raptor excursions, TRR, Snoball, SDBR, etc
