Interesting article. I like to hear that Ford and the Raptor is so succesful, but I also like the exclusivity of this truck... I would hate to see too many of them driving around to be honest.

Just don't go to SoCal and you'll be good, there's a Raptor on every corner down there. Even here in AZ it's not every day that I'll see another one. I'd say 1-2 a week tops in Phoenix for me.

This will put it into perspective though. there were 11,135 Raptors made in 2011...and there were 584,917 F-150s sold total in 2011 so it's still a pretty exclusive truck.

MAIN REASON I OPTED FOR SCAB! Here in the next year or two, they'll be 4 doors every go where! It's Becoming that way already, scabs is the reason why they stayed in Limbo those past years in my opinion. Lesser, the better as far as blue book goes I would THINK

^x2, exactly, it a double edged sword, it great ford had an amazing idea and it is working for them but it will be sad if they keep making so many and it becomes as common as a xlt f150. the unique truck will no longer be unique

Yesterday afternoon I saw one and I think it was the same one I'd seen a month back.

TOTAL I've seen in 3 years is less than a dozen. But then I live in the boonies!!! I know mine is the only one in this county!!! OK, I don't get out much and the county has just over 4000 population, I said boonies!!

Yesterday morning I was in the tri cities WA and my wife told my grand daughter she'd give her a dollar if she spotted another Raptor. No dollar!!!

Ha! The good ol' dry shitties...some good dirt bike riding around there though. Used to ride out there with my buddies a lot in college.

You're right, it is definitely a numbers game, with figures above your only at 2% of the total production. Most limited production runs are considered "limited" in the < 4% range if I remember correctly.

I still like being rare though!

Me too, I don't want to see a Raptor every time i turn my head. Besides spotting fellow Raptors wouldn't be near as fun if they were everywhere!

The silver lining in the cup half full:
More to get totaled = cheaper used parts for me when I break stuff
