Hi folks, I've been a Toyota guy forever but finally made the switch to Blue Oval. I have a brand new 2020 (only 500 miles) and out of nowhere I am having trouble with getting the nice blue interior lights (door panels etc) activating when driving at night. May be as simple as a sensor or button/switch I am unaware of, but surely hoping the truck already doesn't have a (albeit small) issue.

Any help certainly appreciated!

Cheers

My guess is your ambient light setting is set to off. I’ve had this happen to me. I can’t direct you to the exact path to follow as my current Raptor is a 801a and doesn’t have this feature but here goes...within Synch look for a Vehicle icon. Under this setting you should see Lighting. You can enable it there and set the brightness.

My instructions are not the best but they should at least point you in the right direction.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Gents

I have indeed found the only light adjustment within the Synch system but it only allowed me to adjust the tone and dimming of the main display on the dash, not the ambient lighting. Its odd, I'll open the truck doors at night, and the blue lights are on. Then I fire up the truck and prepare to drive and they all turn off along with the primary interior lighting (that you would expect to turn off once you are underway). So they are on for a bit, but then they dim away to nothing with the rest of the interior lighting.

I had a pretty high end shop in my area (experienced with Raptors) add some Rigid lights to the empty front bumper spaces, but I can't imagine this in any way affected the interior lighting in such a subtle way.

Any other thoughts appreciated, thanks for your time.

If you have an 802A, there is an adjustment in there just for the ambient lighting in the door panels.

Thanks for the input!

I just needed to find the right area of the interface to adjust it. For some reason it was completely dimmed down.

Thanks for the help guys!

I've been driving an 06 Tundra since 06' so I'm getting used to all the technology ;-)

No problem, It's not the easiest thing to find. I think you'll find every once in a while they will turn themselves full dim for some reason, so remember how you fixed it!

So far to date mine only turned off once, right after I read about that in this forum. It actually happened the next morning.

What are the odds?
